Service Details

PSR is a goal-directed, non-residential service that includes assessment, education, and training in independent living skills, social skills, and community resource utilization. The ultimate goal is to help individuals achieve and maintain a high level of independence with minimal ongoing professional intervention. This maybe individual or in a group setting.

Supportive Environment:

PSR provides a safe and supportive environment for individuals to practice and refine their skills

Community-Based:

Services are typically provided in non-residential settings, such as community centers or the individual’s home.

Social and Interpersonal Skills:

Guidance on building and maintaining relationships, communication, and social interaction

WHO QUALIFIES

An individual must qualify and receive North Carolina Innovations Medicaid Services. No specific diagnosis or age limits are required.

WHAT PROFESSIONALS ARE INVOLVED

We will work with you and the entire treatment team to determine the individual’s preferences, goals, dreams and help develop a plan of action.
