JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Establish open lines of communication for individuals with mental or emotional issues
  • Offer assistance to individuals with substance abuse issues
  • Provide prevention-oriented therapy
  • Implement and review treatment plans
  • Collaborate with additional treatment providers and placement agencies
  • Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner
  • Diagnoses psychiatric disorders and mental health conditions
  • Complete ASAM, LOCUS, Treatment Planning
  • Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients’ treatment.
  • Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports.
  • Counsel clients and patients, individually and in group sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, and making changes.
  • Collect information about clients through interviews, observation, and tests.
  • Act as client advocate to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations.
  • Evaluate clients’ physical or mental condition based on the review of client information.
  • Work in an interdisciplinary team environment.
  • On call rotation for crisis.

Qualifications
A Masters Level Licensed Clinician. Acceptable licenses are a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Extensive skill, knowledge, and experience in the field are required.

  • Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
  • Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions, and for career counseling and guidance.
  • Knowledge of group behavior and dynamics, societal trends and influences, human migrations, ethnicity, and cultures and their history and origins.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • Previous experience in mental health counseling or other related fields
  • Familiarity with community mental health resources
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to build rapport with clients
  • Strong leadership qualities

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $35.00 – $42.00 per hour
